Today we will see different kind of the Dutch cultures including the famous Dutch Mills, the sea and a big museum to learn more about the human body.

Morning program – In the morning we will drive to the Zaanse Schans where we will see the beautiful Dutch Windmills, and drive by the sea.

Afternoon program – We will visit the Corpus museum in Leiden where you will learn more about the human body in an interactive way. This will also show the Dutch creativity.

We will travel to the South of the Netherlands to visit a very old town called Valkenburg aan de Geul. With our tour guides we will visit some iconic places where you will see how people have worked years ago.

Morning program – we will visit the Softstone caves and the ruin of Valkenburg.

Afternoon program – we will visit the coalmine and have some shopping time in Valkenburg.

Today we will meet the students of our host families and visit a middle school who participates in the Global Exploration programme.

During this day you will get the opportunity to see how the Dutch school system works and you will have the chance to give your own presentations.

In the afternoon we will go to our host families and you will see how the Dutch people live and work.

Today you will get the chance to live in your Dutch host family. Together with the family you will play sports, go to the shopping mall and maybe they arranged some more interesting things for you to do.

This is all about Nature. You will find us at a big Zoo and get some assignments with the park rangers. The brunssumerheide is a place where we can work together with a forester to clean and maintain the forest.

Morning programme – we will go to the Zoo and we will see some animals with the assignments.

Afternoon programme – We will go into the forest with a forester and will do some volunteer work.

Today we will visit Brussels (Belgium). This is the capital city of Belgium. We have several activities we can do in the city. The things we visit and see are totally up to you.

Today has two major subjects. The first one is learning more about the Dutch way of recycling. The second one is learning more about the Capital of the province of Limburg.

Morning programme – we will go to a water treatment plant where a guide will tell us everything about the Dutch way of recycling.

Afternoon programme – We will visit Maastricht and will have a quick tour of the City. Of course you will get some free time to explore and shop.

World War 2 is a long time ago. In this area there were a lot of fights during worldwar 2. We will visit the American cemetery in Margraten and other interesting places concerning worldwar 2. The “Siegfriedlinie”, Bastogne and so on. In the afternoon we will visit the beautiful cathedral of Aachen in Germany.

Morning programme – We will go to the World war 2 museum and learn about our Dutch and European History. Afterwards we will visit the American War cemetery.

Afternoon programme – We will visit Germany and the Siegfriedlinie and have some free time in the beautiful city of Aachen

This morning is at leisure until transferred to the airport for your flight bound for Australia.

A story from an Exchange student

Before I get off the plane, the imaginations of the windmills, castles, chocolates and churches got me overwhelmed and drives away all the tiredness. I’m deeply impressed by the idea of “respect the personality” education system, the hospitality and sincerity of the host families, the grand buildings and marvellous national museums of the country. Everyone loves reading, everyone is polite and enjoys their leisure time. This trip has brought me so much compared to the things I learned from a textbook, this is much more real and fresher. If I would get another chance, there is no doubt that I will step on this land again.
