Can we travel now? How safe for the overseas travel? Let Dr. Lindy Cayzer tell you her travel story. This group was organized by CBT and supposed to depart in April 2020; but was postponed due to Covid-19. Lindy and the group finally could travel to Greece in April 2022 and just returned home in early May.
Hi Jimmy...
Thanks for all your hard work on our Greek Odyssey (2020, 2021, 2022!). Despite our concerns over catching COVID overseas, our 15 travellers are all returning to Australia COVID free, after a month of intensive travel through airports, domestic and international airlines, buses, cars, trains and ferries. We all wore masks everywhere, whether required to or not and went through litres of hand cleanser. As Europe is going into Spring it was easy to avoid being in closed restaurants and more populous places like shopping malls. Museums and art galleries usually have very strict protocols including timed entry to avoid crowding, which actually made visiting these sites much more pleasant. The main issue was the need to have all our documentation including the COVID certificates scanned on to our iPhones/iPads for ready access every day and at every check point, and the health declarations for most countries, including Australia, must now be done on line, prior to entry. This was a bit of a challenge for some of our less technological travellers. All in all though, this was a great trip and proved that old adage that you'll never know if you don't go!
Cheers
Dr. Lindy Cayzer
