Today begins with a stroll along the Bund, Shanghai’s renowned stretch of riverfront lined with colonial buildings and modern skyscrapers. Later head to the new district across from the Bund called Pudong to experience the economic boom of China and then visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, a famous landmark of the city, where you get an amazing bird’s eye view of Shanghai. In the afternoon explore the Yu Yuan Garden, a classical Ming Dynasty garden with pavilions, towers, and terraces then wander the Chenghuangmiao bazaar. Tonight enjoy the Acrobatic show at Grand Circuit.

Begin your day with some shopping along Nanjing Road, followed by afternoon flight to Guilin. Check into the hotel for 2 nights.

Travel by coach to Longsheng. Longsheng is located in the mountainous region on the north eastern part of Guilin. The natural beauty and the colourful ethnic Chinese cultures and customs attract people from all over the world.  You visit the villages of the Zhuang and Yao Minority tribes and the beautiful terrace rice fields on summit of Longji (Dragon's backbone), which are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop, with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m. Return to Guilin in the late afternoon.

The highlight of Guilin is the Li River cruise, a 5-6 hour cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, which passes through various strange and wonderful mountain formations. Upon arrival at Yangshuo, you have an opportunity to roam the local markets. Stay one night in Yangshuo.

This morning is at leisure with an afternoon transfer to Guilin Airport for your flight to Xian, met by your guide and transferred to the hotel for 2 nights.

After breakfast, travel to the Ancient City Wall where you can ride bikes and view the city. In the afternoon visit the legendary army of "Terracotta Warriors". They are found at an archaeological site which so far has yielded some 8000 ancient terra cotta soldiers and horses, each a unique, finely detailed sculpture. Tonight you will have the Dumpling Banquet and the Tang Dynasty Performance.

Morning tour to the Muslim Food street, then transfer to the Railway station for the high speed train to Beijin,  met by your guide and transferred to the hotel for 4 nights.

Today you visit Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest city square. From Tiananmen Square, visitors enter the gates of the Forbidden City which was home to 24 Chinese emperors between 1420 and 1924. This massive complex was the centre of the Ming and Qing dynasties. With almost 10,000 rooms, this remarkable, well-preserved imperial palace is the largest palace in the world. After lunch, take a trishaw ride around the Hutongs, which are ancient city alleyways, to experience the life of the local people.

Today journey to the Great Wall of China. This is the pride of China and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is one of the most amazing man-made structures. After climbing the Great Wall, afternoon tour of the Summer Palace which is the largest and best preserved of all the imperial palace gardens, and boasts such delights as the "Marble Boat" and the ornately painted "Long Corridor".  Dinner tonight is the famous succulent  Beijing Duck Banquet.

This morning you visit a local high school and later an afternoon tour to the Temple of Heaven, a Ming Temple where the Emperors performed annual rites essential for the well being of their land.

Morning is at leisure with an afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight back to Australia.
