Overnight in Beijing.
Today’s visit includes Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. From Tiananmen Square enter the Forbidden City. This massive complex was the centre of the Ming and Qing dynasties. With almost 10,000 rooms, this well-preserved imperial palace is the largest in the world. After lunch, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would make offerings to heaven and pray for good harvests.
Today you experience the splendor of the Great Wall, the pride of China and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is an amazing manmade structure built over 2000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. In the afternoon visit Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved of all imperial palace gardens. Be amazed with fascination at the Marble Boat and the ornately painted Long Corridor.
This morning is at leisure. In time, transfer to the train station for your high speed train to Xian. Xian is the most historic city in China and the capital of ancient China for 11 dynasties. You will stay in Xian for 2 nights.
Today’s touring is to the vast treasure of the underground army of the Terracotta Warriors. They are to be found at an archaeological site which so far has yielded some 8000 ancient terracotta soldiers and horses, each a unique, finely detailed sculpture. This afternoon, you visit the ancient city wall which is one of the best persevered in China.
This morning is at leisure. At noon transfer to the train station for your high-speed train to Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China, as well as a major city in Western China. You are met and transferred to your hotel. You will stay 2 nights in Chengdu.
This morning, visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, China’s leading panda conservation centre and home to over 100 giant pandas. After lunch, explore the peaceful Wenshu Temple, a fine example of traditional Buddhist architecture. Continue to People’s Park, where Chengdu’s relaxed lifestyle comes alive through teahouses, mahjong games, dancing and local traditions. Finish the day at Jinli Old Street, filled with delicious snacks, handicrafts and lively folk performances — a perfect taste of Chengdu’s charm.

In the afternoon transfer to train station and take high speed train to Chongqing.
Chongqing, also called Mountain City. This full day city highlights tour includes historic visit to Ciqikou Old Town, an 1,800-year-old historical culture dated from Song Dynasty then to Great Hall of the people, Erling Park, Chongqing Rail Transit Line 2 from Huanghuayuan Metro Station to Liziba Metro Station to look at the city’s prototype from a different angle. Then, get off to have the never-seen magic of the train going through a 11-storey block of flats, existing only in the fantastically structured Chongqing built against mountains and Hong Ya Cave.
Today enjoy a full-day excursion to Dazu, located west of Chongqing and world-famous for its magnificent Rock Carvings. Scattered across 76 sites, over 60,000 stone sculptures—mainly Buddhist in theme—date back to the late Tang and Song dynasties. The finest masterpieces can be seen at Beishan Hill and Baoding Hill, representing an important chapter in China’s cultural and religious art. Return to Chongqing in the late afternoon and board your Yangtze River cruise.
Visit Fengdu Ghost City, a temple dedicated to afterlife, which incorporates beliefs of Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism. In the evening, join the optional tour to the War Fire of the Three Kingdoms live show, and delve into the romantic saga of one of China’s most fascinating historical periods. Enjoy the Crew’s Cabaret Show for the rest of the evening.
In the morning, join the optional tour of the White Emperor City - a historical site and museum showcasing ancient artifacts and the rich local culture of poetry; later back onboard, sail through the spectacular Qutang Gorge and the Wu Gorge. In the afternoon, board a small boat to explore the Goddess Stream, a serene tributary of the Yangtze.
Disembark in Yichang in the morning, and visit the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest hydroelectric project, and Three Gorges Engineering Museum. You will also have the choice of visiting the Dam’s Ship Elevator. After the excursions, transfer to the city centre of Yichang to wrap up the trip. You then take fast train to Shanghai (6.5hrs). Upon arrival Shanghai, transfer to hotel.
After breakfast, begin a full-day tour of Shanghai. Visit the classical Yu Yuan Gardens, then cross to modern Pudong for views of the city’s futuristic skyline. After lunch, enjoy a stroll along the Bund and browse the shops on lively Nanjing Road. End the day in Xintiandi, where restored Shikumen buildings house trendy cafés, boutiques, and markets—perfect for relaxing and enjoying Shanghai’s blend of old and new.
