Overall opinion was that it was excellent – well enjoyed by everyone, the local guides were more than helpful, the buses were modern and we had plenty of water. To whom it may concern.

It was my pleasure to have travelled to Southern Africa with CBT Holidays, earlier this year.

The itinerary was such that I was able to see the absolute highlights of South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, and several of the premier game parks in South Africa, including Kruger National Park, Hluhluwe and Umfalosi. How wonderful it was to see ‘the big five’ animals in Kruger, just in the morning drive. They include the elephant, rhinoceros, lion, leopard and Cape buffalo.

In addition, we had the exciting pleasure of seeing Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe as well as the wonderful and incredible day of game viewing at Chobi National park in Botswana.

The Thompson’s Coach drivers were outstanding and the tour guide was equal the best I have ever experienced in more than fifty years of international travel.

I also wish to express my delight at the wonderful hotel standards that were used throughout the tour. Four star all the way and I think, even better than that on a few occasions. All meals were well above expectation, particularly since they were all included in the price of the tour. Some meals were of outstandingly high quality.

I can thoroughly recommend CBT Holidays for anyone wishing to visit Southern Africa.

What a fabulous holiday this has been, it's our last day today so that's a bit sad. Everyone has kept well, and has thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We have seen two amazing countries, with a history and culture which the local people are very proud of. The hotels have been first class and the food has been a true extravaganza with so many courses to get through, we'll all have to watch our weight when we get home.

The tour guides we have had have been excellent, both of them in Cambodia and here in Vietnam have been a wealth of knowledge and we found them extremely interesting. So we separate and go our different ways tomorrow, some are going home, others to Singapore and others including myself are off to Hong Kong. So we are looking forward to our next leg of our journey.
